Position detail

The position detail screen has various bits of information:-

Net position
This is the total amount of this coin that you own.

Mark to market GBP
When you mark to market you evaluate the current market value of the net amount of coin(s) that you own.

Unrealised PnL
If you were to sell now this is the PnL (Profit and Loss) you would make on your current holding of coin(s). This is calculated based on all the aquisition prices and quantities.

If the mark to market, unrealised pnl or pnl to date is in grey this means that position has some unclassified transactions (usually ones that were just imported) note that taxes for a particular coin cannot be calculated untill all the transactions for that coin were classified.

For details of the unclassified transactions screen click here.

Below this we have the position ladder this is a list of all the component parts of the current net position. They are broken down by aquisition price.

Since we use FIFO first in first out accounting so any coin(s) you relinqish are taken from the top of this list and you PnL is adjusted accordingly.

You can get further breakdown by tapping one of the position entries.

This screen is displayed differently on different types of device.
